Our client, is looking for a very strong Chief Finance Officer to join their team


The scope of responsibilities of the CFO covers Accounting, Finance & overseeing administration, improving systems and developing staff skills to ensure data quality in Finance.
Outline of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning to ensure that reporting is timely and accurate through management of resources;
- Oversee the accounting function with focus on completeness, accuracy & cutoff;
- Monitoring the finance data quality on daily basis through analysis and reconciliation methods;
- Ensure all Finance Manager Reporting Requirements and Deadlines are met in terms of quality and timeliness through managing resources;
- Cash Flow management to ensure all entities cash-flow requirements are controlled through communication, collaboration and planning;
- Understand & Communicate the relevant process flows in SAGE, FMS & EPMS through training and development;
- Budgeting & Forecasting key results and KPI’s through collaboration, analysis, review and communication;
- Driver Cash Control on a continuous basis through operational & financial system review and spot counts;
- Inventory Control on a continuous basis through systems & processes review and spot counts;
- Review & Variance Analysis of Monthly Management Accounts reports, Weekly Cash Flow Statement, All Monthly reconciliations (Fuel, DE, Maint, Payroll, Cash, B/S, etc.) & any other group deliverables;
- Providing financial data & information requested by management as quick as possible;
- Oversee Income Tax to ensure all entities tax provisions and outcomes are managed through communication, collaboration and planning;
- Coordinate with External Auditors, providing all requested information for the final Audit Reports;
- Assists the Sales & Billing Manager in following up on longstanding and other relevant reports by interacting with internal and external contacts to conclude reports;
- Suggest Improvements of the Process in the Invoicing System and Invoice Accounting Processes.
- Ensure that the billing team is aware of Health and Safety and carry out daily tasks in the safest possible working environment.
- Perform other tasks as may be required by the Sales; Billing Manager, Logistics Manager, General Manager and/or CEO/DCEO.

Qualifications
- Academic Background: BCom. in Commerce or Finance or equivalent, post-graduate degree is desired;
- Additional Training: Chartered Accountant is desirable;
- Experience required (minimum/maximum): 10-12 years in Accounting / Finance area, preferably at a Management Level and with Transports Industry experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS and IAS is desirable;
- Age (minimum / maximum): 30-40;
- IT knowledge: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (word; excel; power point). Experience working with ERP system(s);
- Willingness to travel abroad;
- Languages: Knowledge of Portuguese is an added advantage;
- Time availability: High availability;
- LI: 21.
