Our client in the carbon credits industry is seeking an energetic and driven Projects Manager to join their team to undertake research and analysis on carbon capture technologies and markets.


Managing, monitoring, and reviewing carbon projects on ground execution, development, documentation and the complete process along with the third party for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) / Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use (AFOLU) activities
Support/lead the remote sensing and ground truthing survey teams and designated operational entities (DOEs)/Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs) during validation and verification of carbon projects across different countries;
Support and liaise with assigned project teams including ground support, consultants and third parties;
Liaise and communicate with stakeholders and partners as instructed by the COO;
Lead ground surveys for forestry, environment and socio-economic profiling;
Lead ground project activities monitoring;
Lead community engagement activities and liaising;
Responsible for data and information records of the ground project activities and ground team members;
Due diligence of the parameters, emission reduction, and checks during validation and verification of assigned project activities;
Support team in developing strategy and planning with specific actions about NbS, AFOLU, and RE carbon projects;
Conduct site visits and travel to project locations whenever needed (in different areas and countries);
Conduct the required research, preparation of documents, and presentations on the COO's request; and
Support the COO.


Key Skills
Demonstrate an interest in and enthusiasm for the carbon capture sector.
Have excellent critical thinking and strong quantitative skills.
Have fluent English and good communication skills: writing and speaking.

Required Skills

Qualifications
Experience in research, documentation, reporting, presentation, and communication;
Experience in liaising and communicating with stakeholders;
Experience in project management and monitoring;
Knowledge and exposure to carbon markets, carbon credits origination process, and carbon standards-compliance and voluntary, such as CDM/EU ETS/California, VERRA, GS, etc.; and
Experience in carbon credits origination projects development and management - Nature-based solutions (NbS) / Agriculture, Forestry; Other Land Use (AFOLU); and Renewable energy.
Must have a minimum of 3 - 7 years experience.
Must be able speak French or Portuguese.
Post Graduate (MBA/M.Tech./M.S./M.E. etc.)
